Sri Ratikant Mohapatra , the son of the Late Guru Kelucharana Mohapatra is a leading choreographer and preserver of Odissi dance. He is the Director of the world class dance institute Srjan. He has been awarded numerous accolades for his contribution to dance. Shibu bhai is an integral part of my dance journey. He is always there providing support and guidance as I grow and teach future generations.
Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra is the father of this lineage and I am blessed to have met and attended several of his performances. Guruji touched the lives of so many artists. The memory of Guruji lives on in my interactions with my Guru's and mentors,
Smt. Sujata Mohapatra is the disciplie and daughter in law of the Late Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has been awarded numerous awards and is actively involved in teaching Odissi worldwide. In 2007, Lisa started attending Srjan learning and refining Odissi under the guidance of Smt. Sujata Mohapatra. She continues to guide me in the journey of life and dance.
Dr. Aparupa Chatterjee is an accomplished professional dancer from Srjan. Lisa and Aparupa met at Srjan and that was the start of an everlasting friendship. Lisa continues to refine her dance with Dr.Chatterjee
Smt. Jayantee Paine is Lisa's first Guru of Odissi dance. She is a student of Smt. Kum Kum Mohanty and the Orissa Research Center. She provided a solid foundation in dance, dance theory and nurtured a love for the form. She coordinated several workshops with visiting artsit, allowing students to train with Guru Bichichanandra Swain, Smt. Madhusmita Mohanty, Sri Manoranjan Pradhan, and Smt. Meera Das
